You can get a second valid Passport if:
- You travel internationally so frequently that, due to time constraints, have difficulty obtaining traveling visas between trips.
- You need the second passport for your safety and security for example for traveling to Israel and anti Israel states.
NOTE: Second passports are valid for only 2 years and can be renewed, if necessary. Second passports are issued at the State Department's discretion.
Requirements are:
1 - Completed and Signed Application Form DS-82
You MUST create your own DS-82 by going through the ON LINE (Same as Passport Renewal) process of the Department of State Website.
2 - Primary Valid U.S. Passport (Ten year passport)
NOTE: If your primary passport has a validity of less than one year, you have to renew your primary passport first and then apply for the second passport.
3 - Two Recent Passport Photographs
Photographs must be:
- 2 x 2 inches in size
- identical
- taken within the past 6 months and show current appearance
- in color
- full face, front view with a plain white or off-white background
- between 1 inch and 1 3/8 inches from the bottom of chin to top of the head
- taken in normal street attire
4 - Proof of Travel - Copy of your travel itinerary OR a business letter on your company's letter.
You have to provide proof of your travel overseas in the next two weeks (if no visa is required for your trip) and in the next four weeks (if you need a visa for the country of your destination).
5 - International Passport & Visa Authorization Letter, Completed & Signed
6 - Completed and Signed Request Letter for Second Valid Passport
7 - Completed International Passport & Visa Service Request Form
NOTE: Please don't hold on to your application and other paperwork when signed and dated. Send them to us ASAP (They are time sensitive).
