Documents required to obtain a new UK Passport (Under 16 Years old):
- Original birth certificate showing full details of both parents.
- If born outside the UK or born in the UK after December 1982 documentary evidence of parents' claim to British nationality i.e., the original birth or registration certificates and their marriage certificate showing the marital status of both parties at the time of the marriage and evidence of termination of previous marriage(s) if applicable.
- If neither parent is a British Citizen include both parents' passports covering the time of your birth and the passport on which you entered the US.
- If the birth is registered at a British Consulate or the Home Office, ONLY the original certificate is required.
- If not born in the United States the passport or travel document that you originally entered the US.
- Copy of your US Alien Registration Card (Front & Back) and any other photographic identification.
NOTE: NO OTHER DOCUMENTS are normally required to RENEW an old British passport and the old passport will be sent back to you.

- Someone who has known you personally for at least two years, should also complete and sign Section 10 of the Form C-1. This person can be a Minister of Religion, Bank Officer, Established Civil Servant, or a professionally qualified person such as a lawyer, a doctor, an engineer, a school teacher, a police officer or a person of similar standing.
NOTE: A Notary Public is not acceptable as Counter signatory.
- FORM LSD1 (Los Passport Notification Form) is required if you have lost your passport. A Police Report along with the completed Lost/Stolen Passport Notification Form is also required.

- Two Photos 2 x 2 inches in size, taken within the past 6 months and in color
General photo requirements
- Facial expression must be neutral (not frowning nor smiling) with the mouth closed;
- Photos must show both edges of the face clearly with a full front view of face and shoulders, squared to the camera;
- The face and shoulder image must be centred in the photo with no hair across the eyes;
- Eyes must be open and clearly visible & Photos must reflect/represent natural skin tones;
NOTE: The counter signatory should sign and date the back of ONE of the photos with the handwritten statement, "I certify that this is a true likeness of (full name of applicant).
- Young adults aged between 16 and 18 must have written parental consent for the issue of a new passport.
